General Instructions (KUN)

  • All zaireen arriving in Iraq via Air, are required to pay $10 -$20 USD airport tax per person upon arrival.

  • All places in Iraq including airport only accept American Dollars USD$ issued from 2009 onwards. Earlier series will NOT be accepted anywhere in Iraq, please bear this when exchanging currency.

  • Zaireen should take utmost care of their original visas, tickets and all other travelling documents while travelling.

  • Zaireen should check the date stamp on the visa is correct while at airport.

  • At least 3 copies of passport/Iraq visas should be carried.

  • Zaireen travelling on group visa must arrive and depart together in a single group. Zaireen travelling on group visa cannot split their arrival or departure in different flights/dates.

  • Zaireen should travel with confirmed return tickets. Fayz-e-Husayni is not responsible for confirmation/ rescheduling of tickets.

  • Zaireen should not put any cash/valuables/essential medicines/important documents in check-in luggage and should carry them in hand luggage.

  • Sometimes checked-in luggage gets delayed or misplaced. It is advisable to keep a pair of clothes in hand luggage. Fayz e Husayni will not be responsible for any luggage lost by airlines.

  • All mumineen should wear libas al anwar throughout their stay in Iraq, including airport and all other places.

  • It is mandatory for mumineen to wear Saya in all ziyarat.

  • Mumenaat behno must wear a special “Saadi Rida” (simple colors and without heavy work) for ziyarat. It is a mandatory dress code for Haram and should carry at least 2 pairs of such Ridas.

  • During their stay in Iraq mumenaat behno must wear Maqno (scarf which covers their hair completely), full sleeve T-shirts and socks.

  • All zaireen should follow the niyaz timings and should NOT go for ziyarat during waaz timing.

  • Zaireen must carry all their necessary medicines (and medical reports if he/she is having a medical problem) while travelling.

  • Wheelchairs are available in Fayz premises but are subject to availability. It is recommended that zaireen carry their own wheelchair where possible.

  • All zaireen staying in Fayz premises have access to Free Wifi. Wifi passwords are available at the Information Desk.

  • Laundry and Mahal lus Shifa facilities are available in Fayz premises.

  • Check-in: 10:00 am (local time) & Check-out: 8:00 am (local time). Late check-out will be charged additional day rates per passenger. Zaereen departing in evening from Iraq will have to vacate the room in morning or pay extra day rate per head.
